 Thanks GAB for driving me to the airport and waiting to witness my rather long check-in. Peter prepared a thick binder full of all the documents necessary for entering Germany. With most countries of the world right now, Americans are not allowed to visit.  European Schengen countries as well have a strict ban restricting Americans from entering. It was no surprise that the gate agent was unaware of the special circumstances. After several calls and waiting for him to get educated, the green flag was waved.
