The Greek Travel Goddess Hard at Work.
At this point we had no idea where we were going. GAB even found an overnight bus going to Istanbul. It actually had to take much longer than overnight, right?

Here I sit at the Volos bus terminal guarding our luggage as GAB is out negotiating with the taxi drivers. You should hear them yelling at her with her too low offers. She always prevails, even if leaving the annoyed group behind and finding a driver out on the street. Yay GAB.
Once again, GAB threw the feather in the air, and ended up in Pelion, one of the most beautiful mountains in Greece, so they say. We are at the Hotel Despotico in the heart of Portaria. The iPhone camera does not capture the breathtaking view from our room. Speaking of breathtaking, the taxi trip up the mountain took all of my breath away, even with my eyes closed and teeth clenched.
GAB takes not knowing where we are going to a new level in "trusting her". My jaw dropped all the way through the lobby, up in a glass lift and then when the door opened to our two story room, the old jaw remained in dropped position for a very long time. Bubbie is a tough cookie to impress and she is way over impressed with this hotel.
GAB has her very own loft - it's like a Sugar Shack wanna be of Bubbie's dreams.
